Climate Change and Health Seminar: "Climate Change, Cities, & Health: Advancing Solutions through Systems-based Research"

Join YCCCH for this special seminar by Dr. José Siri on his work in urban and planetary health, climate change, and systems thinking. The event is free and open to the public, but registration via EventBrite is required.

Dr. José Siri helps manage the Wellcome Trust’s portfolio of urban research and works to build strategic engagement to advance the field of planetary health. Previously, he was a research fellow at the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health in Kuala Lumpur, where he led research, policy and capacity-building efforts in urban health, and was a co-investigator for Salud Urbana en América Latina, a Wellcome-funded project to improve urban health across Latin America. Dr. Siri received a BS in ecology and systematics from Cornell University and an MPH and PhD in epidemiology from the University of Michigan. He completed his postdoctoral studies at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis in Austria. His expertise bridges urban and planetary health, climate change, systems thinking, sustainable development, infectious disease, malaria control, and urban studies.
