Long COVID currently affects millions of people in the U.S. Symptoms can include brain fog, tremors, sleep disorders, and shortness of breath. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other academic medical centers recently launched clinical trials aimed at finding treatments for long COVID. The results were based on a ranking system which measures the impact of a researcher’s publications by combining the number of papers they have published and how often they are cited by other papers. 623 U.S.-based researchers appeared in list with three women representing the Yale Department of Internal Medicine.
