YSPH EMD Seminar "State Health Laboratories are Central to Public Health Responses"

Laboratory data is central to modern public health investigations and ongoing surveillance of mitigation strategies. This presentation will review the current structure of the public health laboratory system by describing responses to COVID-19 and Mpox and approaches to incorporating laboratory data into public health situational awareness and action. Lessons learned from these case studies highlight areas for improved integration of new laboratory data streams, including pathogen genomics, for increased readiness for ongoing and emerging public health threats.
