Respiratory syncytial virus virtually disappeared during the winter of 2020/21 and has resurged during the winter in some northern and southern hemisphere countries. I'll review the dynamics of RSV during typical winter seasons, discuss potential drivers of these patterns, and discuss possible scenarios for the upcoming winter.
