YSPH EMD Seminar: "RSV bronchiolitis: from burden to structure-based vaccine development"

Dr. Bont will discuss RSV infection during infancy. It is the second cause of post-neonatal infant death following malaria. Most deaths occur in the community in developing countries. The COVID pandemic has caused an unprecedented shift in RSV seasonality which we only start to understand. Our understanding of a conformational change of the RSV fusion protein has led to the development of different RSV immunizations which will reach the public in the coming years.
