YSN - ODEIB presents: Black History Month “Better Heath for All People” Speaker Series

Yale School of Nursing - Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging is excited to kickoff Black History Month and offer a discussion and book signing with Daniel Dawes author of “The Political Determinants of Health” at the School of Nursing on February 8th at 3:30 in room 11701, followed by a reception at 5:00 pm in the HUB. The event is open to all students, staff, and faculty.

Daniel E. Dawes, J.D., is a widely respected healthcare and public health leader, health policy expert, educator, and researcher who serves as Senior Vice President, Global Health and Executive Director of the Institute of Global Health Equity at Meharry Medical College. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and Executive Director of the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine and a professor of health law, policy, and management. He is the author of two critically acclaimed books, 150 Years of Obamacare and The Political Determinants of Health, both published by Johns Hopkins University Press.
