The Yale Program in Addiction Medicine is pleased to welcome Kathryn Hawk, MD, MHS, as speaker for December Addiction Medicine Rounds.

Title: Perspectives and Experiences of Emergency Department Patients with Opioid Use Disorder and Opioid Overdose

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss perspectives and experiences of individuals with opioid use disorder seeking care in the emergency department. 
  2. Describe the Promoting Action on Research Implementation in Health Services (PAHRIS) Framework and how it can be used to promote adoption of evidence-based practices.
  3. Enact strategies for improvement of emergency department care for patients with opioid use disorder. 

Addiction Medicine Rounds are CME accredited. Each session will be assigned 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
