The Yale Program in Addiction Medicine is pleased to welcome Helena Hansen, MD, PhD, for June Addiction Medicine Rounds. Dr. Hansen joins us from the University of California Los Angeles' David Geffen School of Medicine, where she is Professor and Chair of the Research Theme in Translational Social Science and Health Equity, as well as Associate Director of the Center for Social Medicine at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine.

- Define structural racism in relation to the opioid crisis.
- Identify two ways that whiteness is symbolically conveyed in neuroscience, drug development, and marketing.
- Discuss two interventions to counteract structural racism in opioid policy.
