Are you a public health professional interested in continuing your training?
YSPH offers and supports free workshops, webinars, and distance learning opportunities in partnership with public health professional associations, governmental agencies, and community-based organizations. The Office of Community & Practice (OC&P) at YSPH is also the designated provider of continuing education credits for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES®) and Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES®) for Region I (New England).
Connecticut Department of Public Health Training Academy
Connecticut Department of Public Health Training Academy is a comprehensive and convenient one-stop resource for public health training for new and existing members of Connecticut’s public health workforce. Training is free. For more information, contact Nikole Allen.
Connecticut Department of Public Health Fellowship Program
Connecticut Department of Public Health Fellowship Program builds interest in public health careers by supporting students either residing in or attending college in Connecticut. Assists in matching Fellows with high-quality public health field placements throughout the state and provides them with $3,500 stipends. For more information, contact Nikole Allen.
Connecticut Partnership for Public Health Workforce Development
Connecticut Partnership for Public Health Workforce Development (CT Partnership) was founded in 2000 to bring together interest-holders to provide input on Connecticut public health workforce development and continuing education activities and serve as an advisory body to the New England Public Health Training Center (NEPHTC) in Connecticut. The partnership is supported by YSPH and facilitated by OC&P. To become a member, contact Maurine Crouch.
CT TRAIN
CT TRAIN is an online system used for providing training and education to state employees and other individuals in Connecticut. It's a central hub for finding, accessing, and completing various training courses, including those offered by the state of Connecticut and other organizations across the United States. Creating an account is free.
New England Public Health Training Center (NEPHTC)
The New England Public Health Training Center (NEPHTC) is Region I’s (New England states) hub for workforce development, offering a wide range of learning resources—all free of charge—to strengthen the public health workforce. YSPH is the Connecticut partner of the NEPHTC, featuring webinars and courses from staff, faculty, and alumni from YSPH as well as practitioners across the state. Registration is free.
