Biography
Patrick Tootle is a Postgraduate Associate at the Yale LGBTQ Mental Health Initiative. He graduated from Florida State University in 2024 with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Women's Studies. During his time at Florida State University, he served as a research assistant for three laboratories, contributing to clinical psychology research regarding suicidal thoughts and behaviors, as well as cognitive neuroscience research regarding memory. Following this, he joined The AZA Lab at the Yale School of Medicine as a Postgraduate Associate, contributing to work exploring how music, mindfulness and psychedelics relate to mental health through a neuroscience lens. Patrick's personal research interests include studying how minority stress impacts sexual and gender minorities with obsessive compulsive disorder, with social anxiety disorder, and with suicidal thoughts and behaviors.
