This year, the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) proudly stepped into a new era as an independent school within Yale University, amplifying our ability to influence public health outcomes both locally and globally.
We ranked 4th in research impact compared to our American Association of Universities’ peers (according to Academic Analytics), saw a 20% increase in MPH applications, hired 26 new faculty, completed nearly 250 internship placements with community partners, and celebrated the accomplishments of our 8,000 alumni worldwide.
Now, propelled by our independence, we have created a comprehensive strategic plan to serve as a roadmap to the future, guiding our mission to educate and equip the best public health scientists, practitioners, and leaders to develop systems-level solutions for a healthier society.
This strategic plan delineates key organizational and scholarly priorities where we will concentrate our efforts and focus on creating tangible solutions. At a moment when trust in public health and science is threatened, it is critically important for all of us to work together to address the challenges ahead.
At YSPH, we take pride in convening the best and brightest minds to elevate the most rigorous and forward-thinking teaching, research, practice, and application of public health principles. We invite you to join us in this endeavor, to challenge and create new science, to collaborate and build partnerships, and to positively change the health trajectory of people and places across the globe.
Only together can we link science and society, making public health foundational to communities everywhere.
