Wellness Counselor
Diane Frankel-Gramelis, MS, Wellness Counselor (non-clinical), has built her career as a health educator with both students and patients. She has continued her lifelong learning through certifications as a Childbirth Educator/Doula (CCE), Integrative Health Coach (IHC), Patient Navigator (PN), and Certified Community Herbalist (CCH). She is passionate about creating meaningful personal connections with not only her students but with community partners. This approach provides both practice-based learning opportunities for MPH students and serves to improve health outcomes locally. Her guiding philosophy summed up: “A learner/mentor relationship begins at birth and continues throughout a lifetime, roles consistently changing from former to latter and vice versa. Above all we have a responsibility to honor students and community through positive modeling. I believe this to be especially true as a public health professional. Action speaks louder than words and who you are speaks louder than what you say”.
