Biography

Brigid is a global health researcher and practitioner with more than 15 years of experience working in partnership with global health institutions, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa. Her work sits at the intersection of health systems strengthening and evidence translation, spanning health system resilience, equity in global health partnerships, and strategic foresight.

Her research on donor-recipient power dynamics, conducted through the University of Liberia–Yale BRIDGE-U partnership, was published in BMJ Global Health. As a Science for Development Fellow with USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, she worked on the implementation of localization policy, and she has collaborated with Stellenbosch University’s Centre for Sustainability Transitions on IDRC-funded foresight research on the future of research and development in Africa. Through a joint appointment between the University of Cape Town and UC Berkeley as a GHES fellow, she studied health system resilience during COVID-19.

Brigid is currently a Lecturer at both the Yale School of Public Health and UC Berkeley School of Public Health, where she teaches Implementation Science and Global Health Foundations.
