"Telepsychiatry Legal and Regulatory Considerations"

A nationally recognized expert in telepsychiatry policy and implementation, Shabana Khan, MD, is also a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. In this talk, Khan will outline the current regulatory environment for telepsychiatry, including licensure and compacts, prescribing controlled substances via telemedicine, privacy and security obligations, malpractice and risk management, and safety protocols for virtual care. Attendees will gain tools that they can implement immediately to align their telepsychiatry practice with current laws and best practices.
