Teresa Hartnett, EdD, MPA

As the inaugural Lead Administrator for YSPH, Teresa oversees all aspects of the financial & administrative teams of the School of Public Health, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of essential services.

Prior to joining YSPH, Teresa served as Senior Associate Dean of Finance and Administration of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine, overseeing a large and complex budget and leading initiatives to optimize resource utilization. Prior to her tenure at the University of Tennessee, she held leadership positions at the University of Memphis and worked for the World Bank, researching educational issues in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Teresa holds a doctorate in higher education from the University of Memphis, a master's in public finance from New York University, and a bachelor's in international economics from George Washington University. She is an active member of several professional associations, and served in various leadership roles with higher education’s Network for Change and Continuous Innovation (NCCI), including a two-year term as President.
