Biography

Dr. Monique Stefanou serves as an Expert Practitioner for the Integrative Applied Practice Experience for Midcareer Professionals course in the Executive MPH Program at YSPH. The scope of her work involves health insurance education amongst adolescent and young adult cancer survivors, community health education, cancer screening and prevention and the improvement of clinical trial participation in various populations. Her work as a consultant spans both academic and non-profit settings. She has a wealth of experience working with grassroots community organizations and truly has a passion for helping individuals and families overcome barriers to accessing healthcare services.

She also has a background in undergraduate education and has served as an adjunct lecturer in public health at Southern Connecticut State University, on and off, since 2017. She truly enjoys inspiring and preparing the next generation of public health leaders.
