Andrew Olenski, PhD

Andrew Olenski is an Assistant Professor of Public Health (Health Policy) at the Yale School of Public Health and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research, affiliated with the Health and Aging program groups. He is an economist whose research sits at the intersection of health care and industrial organization, examining how market structure, ownership, and regulatory incentives shape the delivery and quality of care, with a particular focus on long-term care. His research has been published in leading economics and medical journals, including the Review of Economics and Statistics, the New England Journal of Medicine, and JAMA, and has been supported by the National Science Foundation and Arnold Ventures. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University.
