YSPH EMD Seminar: "What’s Past is Prologue: Studying Historical Epidemics to Inform Modern Public Health Surveillance"

This talk will be an historical look back at epidemic diseases and population mortality trends in New York City, with a focus on the 1918-1920 influenza pandemic, and on the development of syndromic surveillance over the last twenty-five years.
