You can get email alerts for any PubMed query. Your favorite journal, your favorite author, your favorite author but only when they are the first author of the paper — you can tailor your alerts to tell you about the papers you need to read, and only those papers.

After this training, you'll be able to:

• Set up PubMed alerts for authors, topics, and journals
• Adjust alerts that are generating too many notifications
• Add notes to alerts

If you want to set up your own alerts during the workshop, make sure you have an account to sign in to PubMed. You can use eRA Commons, a Google account, ORCiD, or lots of other third-party options.
