Biography
Dr. Carlos Oliveira is an attending physician and specialist in pediatric infectious diseases at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. He is Board Certified in General Pediatrics, Pediatric Infectious Diseases, and Clinical Informatics and serves on the faculty at both Yale School of Medicine and Yale School of Public Health as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Infectious Diseases & Global Health), of Biostatistics (Health Informatics), and of Biomedical Informatics & Data Science. Dr. Oliveira is also the medical Director of Congenital Infectious Diseases and is part of the leadership of Yale's pediatric HIV/AIDS and pediatric COVID-19 programs. His research centers around the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric infectious diseases, vaccine epidemiology, and medical informatics. He also co-leads the Yale Network for Vaccine Initiatives (YNVI) and coordinates interdisciplinary research and training in vaccinology.
