EMD Seminar Series: Melinda Pettigrew, PhD - "Combating Antibacterial Resistance through Laboratory Research, Epidemiologic Studies, and Leadership in Clinical Trials”

Melinda Pettigrew is dean and professor of the University of Minnesota School of Public Health (SPH). In this role, she provides collaborative leadership to maintain and advance SPH as a premier leader in public health.

Dean Pettigrew’s research focuses on the epidemiology of respiratory tract infections, the microbiome, and the One Health threat of antibiotic resistance. She is nationally known for her research and leadership roles in the Antibiotic Resistance Leadership Group (ARLG), an NIH-sponsored initiative whose aim is to combat antimicrobial resistance.
