2025 Public Health Practice Spotlights
The Applied Practice Experience (APE) is a seminal experience for MPH students, exposing them to real-world challenges and providing opportunities to translate science into local, national, and global impact. The APE often occurs during a summer internship but can also be a volunteer or other placement with a community organization.

Perpetua Buadoo, MPH ’26 (SBS, Global Health) Perpetua Buadoo worked with People for Successful COrean REunification (PSCORE) in Seoul, South Korea, as a Research and Education Intern. She taught English to North Korean defectors and worked on policy reports about the human rights issues they face.
