Containment Virtual Film Screening and Panel Discussion
How can we contain some of the deadliest, most long-lasting substances ever produced?
Join artists and activists for a virtual screening and discussion of Containment, a film tracing the impact of radioactive waste in the United States. Exploring the challenges of containing, marking and communicating about nuclear waste repositories that will remain hazardous for ten thousand years, Containment highlights the practical, ethical and communication challenges presented by the nuclear industry and the passage of time. A panel discussion following the film will feature filmmaker Peter Galison, nuclear contaminant researcher Tommy Rock, and research scientist Katlyn Turner.
