Reporting guidelines up close: The Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) Statement (Online )

Registration is required. Click here to register.

In this 30-minute training, we'll explore the STROBE reporting guidelines for observational studies. We'll also look at some existing STROBE extensions, like STREGA (for genetic association studies), STROBE-ME (for molecular epidemiology studies), and RECORD (for studies conducted using observational routinely collected health data). Finally, we'll discuss STROBE extensions currently in development, like STROBE-Equity.

After this session, you'll be able to:

  • Locate the STROBE guidelines, extensions, and guideline development projects
  • Select the STROBE items or extensions applicable to a particular study
  • Use the STROBE guidelines as an author or peer reviewer

You truly do not need to read about STROBE in advance; just show up! But if you want to start reading now, here's where to start: What Is Strobe?
