July 25, 2024

What initially drew you to working at the EIP?

I was drawn in by the idea of doing surveillance work. My interest in public health and in epi is to better understand how different diseases impact people differently, and seeing how the different projects at the EIP work at some capacity to observe and record this, I felt like this was a place I wanted to work at.

What has been your favorite part about working at the EIP?

I really enjoyed being able to learn how to communicate better to the public, as well as being able to interact with the different public health professionals and leaders on a regular basis.

How do you feel the EIP has prepared you to enter the public health workforce?

I feel prepared to be able to collaborate with different teams and agencies to accomplish a common goal, as well as feeling comfortable interacting with people in different roles than mine.

What are your professional plans after graduation?

I am currently exploring several new opportunities after graduation and I’m looking forward to what comes next!
