Biography
Elisa Park (she/her) is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Yale School of Public Health.
Her work is focused on LGBTQ+ youth mental health, particularly related to suicide. Specifically, Elisa is interested in studying how young people’s exposure to others’ suicidal thoughts and behaviors can impact their own mental health, and the mechanisms through which these effects may occur. Elisa is committed to better understanding and working to prevent LGBTQ+ youth suicide.
Prior to Yale, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Health, and Society from Vanderbilt University.
