Digital Ethics Workshop: Welcome & Introduction
This semester, the Schmidt Program on Artificial Intelligence, Emerging Technologies, and National Power at the Jackson School of Global Affairs will partner with the new Digital Ethics Center (DEC) at Yale on a series of workshops focused on the field of digital ethics. The workshops will be led by Luciano Floridi, founding director of the DEC and professor in the practice in the Cognitive Science program at Yale.
Topics to be covered through the semester include the nature and ethics of AI, digital sovereignty, and the relationship between environmental and digital issues, among others. Participants will develop a deeper and more critical understanding of the digital revolution and its ethical impact and implications.
