Biography

Dr. Shao is a postdoctoral associate at the Yale Center for Perinatal, Pediatric, and Environmental Epidemiology (Yale CPPEE) in the Yale School of Public Health. His research interest focus on understanding how individual and mixtures of environmental exposures influence neurological outcomes and brain health across lifespan, including childhood neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative diseases. He is particularly interested in the application of multi-omics approaches and machine learning algorithms to elucidate the underlying biological mechanisms. He is alo intersted in methodological research including the development and application of novel study designs and causal inference techniques in epidemiological research.
