YSPH EMD Seminar: “Everything Keeps Changing! What COVID-19 has taught us about surveillance”
This talk will describe a decision-focused notion of design for surveillance systems that are designed to detect, track, characterize, and tailor treatment/prevention of new pathogens and variants thereof, suggesting the key components of such a system. In the second half it will describe work using health care data bases in the US and Israel that provides examples of some of the potential to perform such surveillance and the accompanying challenges.
