Qualitative Methods Innovation Program

Qualitative methods enable researchers to gain in-depth and textured understanding of issues from the perspectives of the studied population. In implementation science (IS) research, qualitative methods are integral for answering how and why evidence-based interventions or implementation strategies are or are not working in real-world settings and shed light on complex contextual factors that facilitate and hinder success. The Qualitative Methods Innovation Program within CMIPS seeks to be a premier hub for innovation of original methodological contributions to advance the use of qualitative approaches, including elicitation, study design, and analysis, in IS through research, training, and collaboration.
