Biography
Anna Porter is Assistant Director and Associate Research Scientist at the Center for Methods in Implementation and Prevention Science (CMIPS). She has over 20 years of diverse experience in public health research, and an interest in work devoted to answering both methodological and health outcome questions. Her own research has historically focused in the area of physical activity, and specifically how the built environment influences physical activity behaviors such as bicycling. She has expertise in clinical and translational research in the areas of behavioral and environmental health.
Anna completed a PhD in Epidemiology at the UTHealth School of Public Health in Austin, and post-doctoral training in Cardiovascular Epidemiology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health.
