Featuring Senior Administrative Assistant Elise Pierre-Louis, who enjoys being part of a team with a global impact.
What is your role within Yale Dermatology, and when did you join the department?
I am the senior administrative assistant in the Dermatology Chair's Office. I joined in the later half of October 2024.
What inspired you to choose Yale?
I wanted to work with a group of people that is working towards improving people's quality of life.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The best part of my role is seeing how we interact and celebrate other universities and researchers within the United States and globally. Working as a team is practiced not only in our usual workday, but it also exudes outside university walls, ultimately becoming part of our unspoken core.
What are you looking forward to the most in 2025?
Learning more about Yale and New Haven! Coming from a global, publicly-traded company and being semi-new to the state, you miss the other side of using the city and other neighboring towns to your benefit with creating events that encourage uncommon activities that, honestly, end up becoming the fun part of the day.
Do you have any hobbies?
A little while ago, I became a huge fan of rowing. Other than that, sewing baking, and cooking have been a great way for me to tap into my creative side.
