The YCCCH public health practice program and policy unit collaborate with civil society and government partners to utilize science-based action in the service of YCCCH’s mission.
We work to integrate into our core public health practice projects a social justice perspective that aims to improve health equity and reduce structural racism and principles of community-based participatory research.
The policy unit seeks to maximize our impact by leveraging YCCCH research and public health practice projects to inform policy and by helping our researchers formulate their research to have the greatest likelihood to affect policy change.
