Biography

Katie Doucet is the Assistant Director in the Yale School of Public Health Student Affairs Office for the PhD/MS program. Prior to joining Student Affairs, she was the Assistant Director of the Development Core at Yale University’s Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS (CIRA) and managed the day to day operations of the Development Core including the Peer Review Program, Pilot Project Program, Yale AIDS Prevention Training Program (Y-APT), the Research Education Institute for Diverse Scholars (REIDS) Fellowship, and other activities.

Katie's previous positions include the Program Coordinator for the Becoming Breastfeeding Friendly research project and the Global Health Concentration, both within the Yale School of Public Health. In these roles, she was the principal source for information on policies, procedures, and office activities across the programs, and managed communications, grant support, and support staff. Additionally, she contributed to the creation of peer reviewed articles, providing editorial support, literature reviews and data organization. Prior to her time at Yale, she spent 12 years working in the UK Civil Service on policy development and implementation both in central government and at the local level. Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts (hons) degree in Sociology from the University of Essex, UK.
