Media Coverage Survey

A media survey can document media coverage related to breastfeeding. A media survey can help understand the current breastfeeding environment and supply data for several benchmarks within the BBFI. Additionally, a media survey can help with informing a BBF reassessment.
The methodology below describes the general steps to conducting a media survey.

Methodology

  1. Identify aims for conducting the media survey
  2. Define key terms and develop search strategy while considering the multiple types of searches that can be conducted
  3. Gather, organize and analyze data by defining a timeframe, identify information sources and databases to search, and develop inclusion/exclusion criteria
  4. Develop a policy report using the findings
  5. Disseminate results

If you would like to conduct a media coverage survey, more descriptive details of the methodology can be found here.
