Data Management and Analysis Core (DMAC)

The goal of the Data Management and Analysis Core (DMAC) is to provide the YSRC with state-of-the-art data management, bioinformatics, and environmental statistics infrastructure that will serve as a focal point for integrated data management and analytics across YSRC research projects and cores.

Description

The DMAC comprises PhD-level faculty drawn from the Yale School of Public Health Department of Biostatistics, the Yale Center for Analytical Sciences, the Yale Center for Medical Informatics, and the Yale Center for Statistical Genomics and Proteomics.

The core provides a full spectrum of consultation to YSRC investigators on data capture, storage management, and design and analysis of projects. As such, the DMAC works closely with all cores and project scientists to effectively manage data flow and integrate the data/metadata from all projects.

It also serves as a hub for providing feedback to project scientists to drive further scientific investigations and innovations, advances the aims of the YSRC, and facilitates

communication, coordination, and integration by the AC.

Relevance

The DMAC will facilitate the functioning of the YSRC by providing data management, biostatistical, and biomedical informatics expertise.
