  • Founder and Faculty Director

    Associate Professor of Epidemiology (Microbial Diseases); Program Co-Director, Global Health Ethics Program, Yale Institute for Global Health

    A faculty member in the Department of Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases at the Yale School of Public Health. His work focuses on global health in humanitarian crises, the health impacts of armed conflict, and strengthening public health surveillance and health systems in conflict-affected settings, with particular attention to Sudan and the MENA region.

  • Postdoctoral Associate

    A Postdoctoral Associate at the Yale School of Public Health and a community physician. Previously a WHO consultant on universal health coverage and health security, with a focus on post-conflict health reform. Her work centers on health systems in conflict-affected settings, with a focus on strengthening infectious disease surveillance and early warning.

    A Postdoctoral Associate in Chronic Disease Epidemiology and Fulbright Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow. She previously collaborated with The Task Force for Global Health and CDC. Her work focuses on chronic diseases, public health surveillance, implementation science, and digital and geospatial approaches to strengthen resilient health systems in fragile settings.

    Postgraduate Associate

    Postgraduate Associate at the Yale School of Public Health and Fulbright/Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at MIT. His work focuses on WASH, public health, climate change, and displacement in fragile settings, drawing on over a decade of humanitarian experience in Yemen with Save the Children International and other NGOs.

  • PhD Candidate, Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases

    A PhD candidate in Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases at Yale School of Public Health, where he studies the emergence and spread of artemisinin resistance in East Africa. Passionate about global health, he has worked in Jordan, Morocco, and Cameroon and is currently based in Uganda.

  • Associate Professor of Geosciences (CNAP), Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris

    Geoscientist bridging remote sensing, climate science, and environmental risk analysis to address natural hazards and degradation in conflict zones across North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. His career spans NASA, JPL, Caltech, and USC, developing remote-sensing methods to monitor groundwater and environmental hazards in desert regions.

    An international expert in emergency and trauma care focused on low- and middle-income countries, primarily the Middle East and Africa. He consults for WHO, the World Bank, and UNHCR, and co-directs NIH-funded research partnerships with the American University of Beirut on injury and human security in crises.

    Disaster risk and resilience leader working at the intersection of health, security, and intelligence, with a PhD in Security and Intelligence Studies. She consults for the World Bank, serves as Chief Liaison Officer for Health Tech Without Borders, and is founder/CEO of On The Ground AI, connecting NGOs, governments, and communities for disaster coordination.
