Biography

Kyra is a second-year Master of Public Health (MPH) candidate in Yale's Department of Environmental Health Sciences, specializing in the Maternal and Child Health Promotion track. She earned her bachelor's degree in Molecular Environmental Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She is currently a member of Dr. Zeyan Liew's lab in Yale's Center for Perinatal, Pediatric and Environmental Epidemiology (CPPEE) working on the PEACH Study and Dr. Hromi-Fiedler's lab at the Yale School of Public Health working on the EMPOWER Study.

Her research focuses on maternal and child health and epidemiology, with interests including postpartum depression, postpartum cardiovascular health, medication use before, during, and after childbirth, and child development outcomes. She is passionate about advancing equitable healthcare for children of all backgrounds and supporting the health and well-being of them and their families.
