    The Middle East Legal Studies Seminar is an annual seminar in which lawyers, judges, and law professors gather with Yale professors and students in a location as near the Middle East as possible. Membership remains constant from one year to the next, although the group has grown steadily - it now numbers roughly 35. Past topics have included the concept of legal authority itself, the basic rights and remedies available to individuals, and the challenges of religious pluralism in the Middle East.
