Michael Greenwood is a Senior Communications Officer at the Yale School of Public Health and editor of Yale Public Health magazine. He oversees an array of multimedia content that populates the school's various communications platforms and works closely with news outlets to generate stories about the School of Public Health that appear in state, national and international outlets. He and the communications team contribute to a variety of special projects that further promote the work of YSPH faculty, alumni and students. Prior to coming to Yale, Michael was a reporter at The Hartford Courant newspaper, where he wrote about the environment, politics, business and legal proceedings, and spent four years teaching history and civics to high school students in North Carolina. Michael has a bachelor's degree in journalism and history from the University of Connecticut and a master's degree in history from UConn.
