Biography

Dr. Katelyn Wong completed her undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College and received her doctorate of medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She subsequently completed residency and allergy and immunology fellowship at Yale. Dr. Wong’s academic interests include food allergy, teaching, quality improvement, and electronic medical record optimization.

Overview

Katelyn Wong, MD, specializes in adult and pediatric allergy and immunology, focusing on providing care for patients of all ages with allergic and immunologic conditions. Her practice is dedicated to evaluating, diagnosing, and managing food allergies, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, drug allergies, asthma, and eczema.

“I genuinely enjoy the educational aspect of my work,” Dr. Wong says. “My focus is on teaching and empowering patients and their families to manage their allergic conditions effectively, thereby improving their quality of life.”

Dr. Wong is an assistant professor at Yale School of Medicine, where she combines her clinical expertise with a commitment to teaching and quality improvement. She is particularly interested in optimizing electronic medical records to enhance patient care.

“In addition to spending time with patients and families, I enjoy contributing to medical education and teaching students, residents, and fellows,” Dr. Wong says. “I am also committed to quality improvement initiatives with the goal of enhancing patient care.”

She received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics, as well as a fellowship in allergy and immunology, at Yale School of Medicine.
