Biography

Saira Prasanth is a second-year MPH student in the Department of Chronic Disease Epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health. She is interested in understanding the impact of land use and urban planning policies, such as greening interventions, and the built environment on chronic disease outcomes amidst a changing climate. She currently serves as Community Engagement Chair for the Student Association of Yale School of Public Health, collaborating with the Office of Public Health Practice and New Haven community partners to connect students with local opportunities for service and advocacy. She graduated from Rutgers University in 2022 with a BS in Public Health and a certificate in Health Education and Advocacy.
