iPad apps for Zotero and EndNote (Online)

Citation managers are handy tools for organizing everything you have read and everything you want to read. I use both Zotero and EndNote, on my computers and my iPad. If you have an iPad, you can too!

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to

• Install a citation manager app on your iPad and sync your citation manager account
• Find, open, and annotate articles in the iPad app
• Add new articles to your citation manager on your iPad
• Download PDFs from your citation manager to your iPad (useful for flights without internet access, or trips to the countryside)

The Zotero and EndNote apps are available for iPads, not other tablets.

Technical requirements: I suggest that you join the Zoom meeting from a computer (not from your iPad). This way, you can watch the demonstration on the computer, and then you can follow along on your iPad.

Prerequisites: This training is intended for people who already use Zotero or EndNote on computers. If you want to follow along on your own iPad, download and install the iPad apps before the session. Make sure you know the account username and password for your Apple, Zotero, and EndNote accounts. Optional: add your Yale email address to your Zotero account for access to Yale’s unlimited Zotero storage subscription.
