Research Summary

Dr. Layland has three major aims: 1) to improve quantitative modeling of intersectional stigma through person-centered and innovative developmental methods, 2) identify mechanisms underlying risk and resilience among sexual minority young people in response to stigma experiences originating both inside and outside the LGBTQ community, and 3) to evaluate and improve sexual minority mental health and substance use interventions, intervention components, and sustainable effectiveness.
