New Haven, Conn. — Yale School of Medicine's Pediatric Allergy and Immunology Division — housed under the section of Pediatric Pulmonology, Allergy, Immunology & Sleep Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics — has been named a FARE Clinical Care Center of Distinction by Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE).
Clinical Care Centers of Distinction focus on exceptional patient care and community education to provide real-world evidence from daily clinical care.

We strive to provide exceptional and accessible care, and we’re excited to be a part of this collaborative group advancing the field of food allergy,” said Stephanie Leeds, M.D., assistant professor of pediatric allergy and immunology at Yale School of Medicine and principal investigator for the FCN Clinical Care Center of Distinction at Yale.
The FARE Clinical Network (FCN) links exceptional research and clinical care sites across the U.S. to ensure that food allergy patients can access state-of-the-art diagnosis, care, research, and clinical trials. The network was established by FARE in 2015 and expanded in 2020.
The FCN brings top institutions together to drive collaboration across the entire clinical and translational spectrum of food allergy research and care. Other FCN members include: Boston Children's Hospital, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Columbia University Medical Center, and New York-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.
Yale School of Medicine’s Division of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology provides expert diagnosis and management of food allergies, as well as support for related conditions including anaphylaxis, eczema, seasonal allergies, hives, and immunodeficiencies. As a member of the FARE Clinical Network, the division will work with other institutions to develop best practices for the care of patients with food allergies and contribute to the development of the FARE Patient Registry and food allergy biorepositories to support food allergy research.
