YSPH’s Program on Healthcare Environmental Sustainability, along with University and International Partners presnet: "Care Without Carbon: The Road to Sustainability in U.S. Health Care - Part 3"

The Yale School of Public Health’s Program on Healthcare Environmental Sustainability, along with university and international partners, is proud to announce “Care Without Carbon: The Road to Sustainability in U.S. Health Care,” a three-part symposium examining the healthcare industry’s role in, and proven strategies to address, greenhouse gas mitigation and resilience. The U.S. health sector emits 8.5% of the nation’s greenhouse gas emissions annually. In the last decade, these emissions increased by more than 30%. If the U.S. health sector were a nation itself, it would rank 13th in the world for greenhouse gas emissions.

These three sessions, led by experts in their fields and informed by global best practices, are:
