YSPH International Pre-Departure Preparation Workshop

This full day workshop is designed to assist graduate students in the health profession schools while preparing for international travel on Yale affiliated projects. It is highly interactive and include ice breakers, group discussion of case studies, practical applications, a moderated panel, and other networking activities.

It is required for all 1st year MPH students* traveling internationally for their summer APE, or internship, as well as working in other global health capacities (ex: domestic or in a high-income country). YSPH sponsored funding will not be disbursed until completion is verified.

*All Downs Fellowship recipients, regardless of their school/program affiliation, are also required to complete the workshop.

Topics will include: Yale travel safety resources and protocols, personal health and wellness, global health practice and research ethics, global health experience panel, and other networking opportunities to meet with students that have experience traveling to your destinations!
