YSPH / HPM Seminar: "Better Late than Never: Physician Response to Schedule Disruptions"

Hannah Neprash is a doctoral student in the economics track of the Health Policy PhD Program at Harvard University. Her research uses large administrative and proprietary datasets to examine provider response to financial and non-financial incentives. This includes three ongoing strands of work. The first examines questions of productivity and decision-making at the individual physician- and group practice-level. The second analyzes provider labor supply, including Medicaid program participation and response to changes in uninsurance. The third studies consolidation in provider markets and associated changes in health care spending, prices, and quality. Hannah’s applied research and policy experience includes time at the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC), the Health Subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives Ways & Means Committee, and the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission.
