Title- “Statistical Innovations at Servier”

Abstract

Statistical innovations in drug development have been driven by project needs on multiple fronts to achieve goals such as development timeline expedition, operational burden/cost reduction, evidence-based decision-making optimization, and probability of success enhancement. The statistical community in pharmaceutical industry has always been characterized by bold advocacy for such innovations by stakeholders. Specifically, clinical trials at all stages require diligent and thorough planning and execution by the development team, and statisticians are key members in assessing, promoting and deploying these innovations to meet their specific development needs.

In this talk, speakers from Servier will present the cutting-edge statistical innovations that have been developed at Servier, including but not limited to adaptive designs, usage of surrogate endpoint at interim analysis, multiregional clinical trial designs, seamless phase 2/3 designs, biomarker-driven study designs, Bayesian decision-makings, and historical or external data borrowing. Speakers will also illustrate how such innovation can make drug development more efficiently and eventually bring innovative life-changing therapies faster to patients.
