Before You Write the Review: How to Effectively Read and Annotate Scholarly Literature
Registration is required. Please click here to register.
We spend a lot of time talking about how to search for scholarly articles within a database at the beginning of a research project, and how to write a literature review paper at the end. But have you ever considered the steps in between? Knowing how to read, evaluate, and synthesize scholarly literature is an invaluable skill which you can develop with help from the Medical Library! Join librarian, Kayla Del Biondo, for an engaging class where we will discuss how to determine when it is time to stop searching and start reading articles, and practice tabular note-taking as a technique to craft an annotated bibliography in preparation for writing a literature review. All are welcome and there will be plenty of time to ask questions!
